Antiseptic and bactericidal properties of aloe make it possible to use it in the treatment of the common cold and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract. The juice from the leaves of this plant has an anti-inflammatory effect and removes the puffiness of the mucous membranes of the maxillary sinuses.
Aloe vs. cold in colds
Cold cold at the very beginning of the disease can be cured quite simply. To do this, you will need aloe vera at least 3 years old. It is necessary to cut the lowermost fleshy leaves of the plant and cut each of them into small pieces of 2-3 cm. The cure for the common cold is carried out with aloe juice, which must be squeezed out of the leaves. In each nostril should be instilled a solution of juice with boiled water in equal parts, 2 drops three times a day. The procedure can cause severe sneezing and tearing, since in this way the maxillary sinuses are released from excreta and mucus.
Thanks to aloe, the runny nose for colds disappears within 4-5 days, and nasal breathing is restored the next day after the beginning of treatment.
When treating nasal congestion in young children, a weaker solution of aloe juice should be made, because it can cause irritation of mucous membranes. To prepare children's drops, you must mix the juice of the plant with water in a ratio of 1: 4 or 1: 5.
