Decoupage of candles

Decoration of the interior and the festive table with candles always looks spectacular and brings comfort and warmth to the atmosphere of the holiday. And both real and electronic candles are equally popular. If you have not found suitable for yourself, you can always get out of the situation and make decoupage of candles with your own hands. There are several different techniques. We will consider two of the simplest and most effective for an artificial and real candle.

Decoupage of candles with a hairdryer

For work we take colored paper. It should be thin and quite colorful paper. You can use clippings from napkins, corrugated paper or something similar. Here is a simple step-by-step master class decoupling candles with the use of heating.

1. The first part of the master class decoupage candles will be the preparation of the ornament. In this case, we use hearts from thin paper, cut manually by the template.
2. Then we put our blanks in the right place. Press clipping with transparent paper. The parchment for baking will do. Since the paper is transparent, it will be easy to follow the location of the ornament.
3. Further for decoupage of candles we will heat the surface with a simple hairdryer. On hands it is better to put on a glove, so as not to get burned
4. This method is perfect for decoupling wedding candles. Instead of paper we take dried flowers and do the same steps with a hair dryer and parchment.

Decoupage of candles for beginners

For those who only get acquainted with the technique of decoupage, the method with glue will do. For work let's take artificial candles and napkins. Also it is necessary to get a special sponge for applying glue or to take any other similar.

1. From here such white blanks we will make an excellent decor for the table and room.
2. In the store for creativity, you can always find a special matte glue and paper for work in the technique of decoupage. If among the samples you did not find suitable, use a simple three-layer wipes.
3. We tear off the top layer. Then apply a candle and cut the strip to size.
4. Using a soft sponge, apply a layer of glue on the surface of the candle.
5. The next step in decoupling the candles with your own hands will be fixing the picture. Work is necessary only in gloves, so as not to damage the thin paper and not to spoil the drawing.
6. Leave everything to dry.
7. Then again take the sponge and gently apply a layer of glue. The more layers you put on, the smoother the surface will get.
