Effect of noise on the human body

We all know about the damaging effect of noise on human health. In the very definition of this concept a negative meaning is laid down: it is a disorderly combination of sounds that differ in frequency and strength.

But more often, when we talk about this phenomenon, we mean still household noise - it's an unwanted sound or even a few different sounds that break the silence and irritate, interfere with business.

Effect of noise on performance

The harm that annoying sounds cause while doing business is difficult to overestimate. Noise acts on the cerebral cortex, which makes a person too unduly inflated, or excessively inhibited. Because of this, mental work sometimes becomes overwhelming, concentration of attention decreases, mistakes are constantly made in the work, and fatigue occurs much faster and stronger than usual.

Effect of noise on the human body

Noise, whatever it is, will always have different effects on different people. Everything depends on the individual's susceptibility. Some are very receptive, their noise irritates and causes a desire to leave the premises, while others are able to continue to do their own business, getting used to such, albeit unpleasant, background. It depends on the internal parameters of perception. That is why the noise that a person publishes may not be annoying, but that which comes from outside can interfere. Of course, in this issue, not the least role is played by what kind of noise it is: if the neighbor cries continuously the child or the sound of a puncher sounds, this is most often perceived most restlessly.

The effect on a person of domestic noise can differ based on what a person is doing. It's one thing if noise makes it difficult to read a book, and quite another - if due to extraneous noise you have to wake up at night. In addition, if you work in a stressful situation, or are generally prone to experiencing, have bad habits, then any noise will be more annoying for you.

The effect of noise on a person is not only mental, but also physical. As already explained above, these symptoms will manifest themselves in varying degrees for different people, however, they are all possible:

The effect of noise on the body will be the strongest if it has a permanent character. Scientists have conducted research, and found that after 10 years of living in the city there is an increase in the overall incidence of man. It is urban living conditions that are one of the causes of such diseases as hypertension or ischemic heart disease, gastritis or stomach ulcer.

Effect of noise on hearing

It's no secret that loud music, reproduced by the equipment, can reach 100 dBA. At concerts and nightclubs where electro-acoustic speakers are installed, sound can reach up to 115dBA. Staying in such places for a long time is dangerous, since there is a risk of irreversible hearing loss. To prevent this from happening, you should either limit your stay in such places, or use drowning headphones.

A little bit about the sources of noise

In any residential building, noise sources are household appliances and all kinds of ring-reproducing equipment. However, the most disturbing noise usually refers to the repair area: drilling or tapping walls, moving furniture. In addition, people make noise themselves: walking, talking, tramping on children. Already from this one in the city apartment is quite noisy.

However, the noise that comes from the street - and this is especially true for residents of the lower floors - is no less destructive. Cars, special equipment, passing by railroad tracks or a runway - all this has an even more destructive effect than household noise.
