An event is planned, but there is nothing suitable in the wardrobe? It does not matter - it's easy to fix the situation. One of the most economical and original ideas is to sew an evening dress with your own hands. Do not rush to say that this is too difficult and that you need to have a lot of experience in order to implement such ideas. To prove that everyone can shine in his own dress, we offer you a master class "Evening Dress".
For work you will need:
- knitted fabric;
- chiffon fabric;
- scissors;
- thread;
- sewing machine.
- The proposed style is the top of simplicity and elegance. And if we assume that we have asked ourselves how quickly to sew an evening dress, then this model will not be equal. There is no need for patterns and complex calculations, it is enough to measure the volume of the chest and thighs. Focusing on your parameters, we take two rectangular pieces of knitwear, we put one on top of the other and plan roughly armhole armholes. Then cut off the extra corners. On the dummy you can see how the workpiece should look like at this stage.
- After being convinced that the depth of the armhole is correct, we make a marking and a finishing line, and also we remove the side seams.
- We will continue sewing evening dress with our own hands working on the upper edge. The next task is to make a kulis, which will stay on the strings. Fold the edge of the fabric and scribble, leaving a distance of about 2-3cm to pass the tape. Then iron the dress.
- We'll make a ribbon from chiffon. To do this, cut off a wide strip of fabric, sew its edges along the length and iron. The ends are best made beveled. Using a regular pin, pass the ribbon to the kuliska, lightly tighten it and tie a beautiful bow on one shoulder.
- Now you can try on the outfit and, if necessary, adjust the length of the hem. Next, a simple evening dress, sewn with your own hands, you can embellish. Let's make flowers from the same chiffon that was used for the ribbon. We dig up strips about 4cm wide, it's just tearing, not cutting, so that the edge turns out to be "shaggy". Along each strip in the center we make a line, we sew the fabric onto the thread. Turned ruffles wrapped in a flower. How many decorative details will be needed and where they will be sewn, it's up to you!
