Master-class - pillow-cat

Materials:

Instruments:

Also we need a pre-drawn pattern of a pillow-cat on paper.

Progress:

  1. We take cotton fabric and add it twice. On the front side, we pin the pattern and circle it around the contour. Having made an allowance of 10-15 mm, we cut out 2 parts.
  2. In the same way, we cut out 1 piece from fleece.
  3. To leave behind a hole through which it will be possible to take out the inner cushion, the back part of the cushion should be made of two parts. First, cut out 1 piece a little more than the right half of the whole pattern of the trunk, and the second - a little more left. In the end, if they are overlapped, the result should be the same as the first detail.
  4. Cut out brown details from the brown felt and sew them with light threads from the front side to the body.
  5. Take the brown thread, insert them into the needle and embroider the muzzle of the cat (mouth, nose, mustache), as well as the pupils.
  6. Fold the sides of the trunk parts from felt and sew them together. Do not forget that the back part consists of two parts, so you need to ensure that they do not budge.
  7. Before the sewn parts are turned to the front side, small incisions should be made along the edge of the allowances, especially where there are bends.
  8. Cut out from a simple fabric details fold the faces to each other and spend them, leaving a hole between the paws. We turn the napernik on the front side and fill it with sintepon. After that, manually sew the hole left.
  9. Before inserting the inner part into the pillowcase, it is worthwhile to inspect the cat, and if desired, add a speck or other details that you need to embroider or sew.
  10. To put on a pillow case it is necessary to begin with a tail, then hind legs, and then and a head.
  11. To make the correct shape of the paws, you should select the fingers on them. To do this, we take a needle with a dark thread, pierce through the upper material and make a loop. In total you will need to sew them on 4 on each foot.
  12. We tie a ribbon on the base of the tail with a bow and our decorative cat is ready.

Such a pillow-cat can not only lie on the couch, but also be a toy for your children.
