The cellar helps many truck farmers, as it is a reliable repository of harvested crops. In order to fully have the opportunity to use this room, it is necessary to maintain it in a normal state. An important role in this is played by the ventilation system in the cellar , which can be natural or forced.

Many of those who have just started using such a room, are wondering: is ventilation in the cellar necessary? It should be said that it is simply necessary, because it will serve as a guarantee of the safety of your crop.

How to make forced ventilation in the cellar?

When there is not enough natural ventilation in the cellar, mandatory is very important. For example, this may be the case if a large room is not divided into separate component parts with a separate ventilation system for each of them. This will threaten the formation of condensation and blockage of the pipe in the event of severe frost.

In the device of any drawing, there are two types of pipes: exhaust and supply. They are necessary for air exchange. The diameter of the pipe for ventilation of the cellar is calculated as follows: per 1 sq.m. The cellar is installed with an area of ​​26 square centimeters.

The supply pipe is led out at the surface of the earth. Its lower part should be located at the bottom of the cellar, being 20-30 cm from the floor. The exhaust pipe is placed in the opposite corner under the ceiling, outwardly exposing its upper part.

To install forced ventilation, use one or two electric fans. Depending on this, the following methods are distinguished:

  1. With one fan, which is placed on the exhaust pipe from the basement. When it is turned on, the air moves outward.
  2. With two fans. This method is suitable for large rooms. The second fan is located in the supply pipe. It provides fresh air into the room.
