Fredrikdoles

Being a relatively small country, Sweden is replete with medieval castles , palaces, mansions and fortresses, which to this day surprise travelers with their luxury and grandeur. One of the cultural and historical attractions of Helsingborg is the Fredrikdols mansion, built in 1787 for the Koster family.

The uniqueness of the mansion

Fredrikdols is a huge white building, built in Gustavian style. From different sides of the mansion are two small store rooms, which for a long time served as a kitchen and a storage for inventory. The exterior and interior decoration of the castle is dominated by calm pastel colors. Particularly impressive is the Fredrikadols interior: antique furniture, medieval chandeliers, sets and paintings.

In 1880, near the mansion Fredrikdols appeared a beautiful park, designed in English subjects. A special elegance to this place is given by narrow winding alleys, elements of garden art and a picturesque pond. Now in the mansion there is a museum , visiting which tourists can get acquainted with numerous antiques and learn the detailed history of the origin of Fredrikdols.
