How to make a heart-tilde with your own hands?
For sewing such a heart-pendant with wings, we will need:
- the cloth;
- pattern;
- filler;
- satin ribbon;
- thread;
- scissors;
- Needles;
- chalk.
So, let's get started. First, print out the tilde heart pattern and cut out the template.
This stage is not mandatory. I want to sew a two-colored heart. For this, I first cut off two strips of fabric of different colors. The length is equal to the width of the heart + allowances and all this is multiplied by two. The width is half the heart + allowances. I fold the fabric face to face and stitch it. I iron the seam and the fabric for the suspension is ready.
Fold the fabric face to face twice and circle the heart and separate wings.
First we sew wings. Baste the cloth with each other and sew on the contour. Trim off excess fabric with a small allowance, make cuts and unscrew.
The wings need to be ironed, so that they are flat, and then flush the place with a hidden seam.
Stick the wings inside the heart and gently attach to the place where they will be sewn. Also, put inside the folded double ribbon (length 40-50 cm), chip the needles and stitch. Leave room for the eversion.
Trim excess fabric with allowance, make incisions and remove the heart.
Fill the heart with a filler, and sew the remaining hole with a hidden seam.
The heart-pendant with wings is ready, it can become a nice detail of the interior, for example, the girl's children's room.
