How to weave a basket out of the vine?

Do you have children who like to go to the forest for mushrooms , but they do not have a small basket? Now we'll tell you how to weave baskets from a vine in a hurry for your kids.

Wickerwork for weaving baskets

The basket on our MK should be weaved in the autumn, so as not to harvest material by a special method. For weaving our basket we will take the most accessible material - willow. We need young shoots about 1-1.5 m long, in quantity - about 50 pcs. Shoots must be thin and flexible (bend the shoot almost in half, it should not break down). It is not necessary that our vine lay for a long time, it is better to weave a basket at once, until the twigs are dried.

Making baskets from vines

Let's start:

  1. Select 4 twigs for the base, cross-tie with a thin, flexible twig.
  2. Further our basket we will weave by way of "rope". We will spin at once with two twigs. One skips the top of the warp from above, and the other, respectively, from below. Next, we change: the one that was from the bottom will go up, the one that is from above - down. We fix these two twigs at the bottom. Next, weave a "rope".
  3. That's what should happen.
  4. Make sure that the bottom is convex. To do this, each turn of the weave circle is slightly tighter than the previous (as if pulling) to raise the rods of the base.
  5. When you have woven the desired depth of the basket, we will knit the handle for the basket from the vine and cover the edge. We take the average thickness of the rod, bend it in a semicircle, and its tips are pushed to the rods of the base.
  6. Further one after another bend our sticking out on the edges of the bars. We set up for the neighbor and bend.
  7. We twist the handle. Two very long and thin rods tie a knob, and the remainder we weave it. If there are not enough two rods, add more and continue.
  8. In the end we start the tips of the rods under the handles, making a beautiful loop.
  9. We cut off all sticking twigs, and our basket is ready.

Weaving the basket from the vine with our own hands, took only one hour, and how much joy it will present to your children! In addition, such baskets can be useful in decoration or become part of an unusual gift - vegetables, fruits or berries in this basket look very appetizing.
