History of occurrence
Honey center Oakland was born in the beginning of XX century - in 1922. A local family of beekeepers named Fontaine decided to create an interesting place that attracts tourists to this area. The Honey Center soon became popular in New Zealand , and the Fontaines business quickly went up the hill. To expand the range of customers, it was decided to build a honey cafe, and then a small store specializing in the sale of fruit wines.
The basis of the honey center is high-quality honey. Producing it is not so much, although the apiary contains the largest number of bees in New Zealand . Tasty and fragrant honey invariably attracts not only tourists, but the local population.
