Household gas meter

To calculate the spent gas cubes, and accordingly pay for it, a household gas meter must be installed in the apartment or private house. It can be purchased from the gas industry or bought independently, at a more favorable price - the benefit of stores engaged in the implementation of this measuring equipment is enough.

But not every household gas meter is suitable for a particular room. It is important to consider the number of gas appliances in it, and the more of them, the greater the throughput should be at the device - it is indicated by the figure on the body. For example, in the apartment can be installed only a gas stove or a stove and a gas boiler . For such a number of devices, one type of counters (four) is suitable. And for a country house, where the gas heating will need to be taken into account also the boiler (six or more).

Types of household gas meters

There are several different types of these devices, but not all of them use the same demand when installed indoors. The price of the meters is also different and depends on the manufacturer and the internal device of the equipment - the simpler it is, the cheaper the counter. For living quarters the following types of devices are purchased:

Electronic household gas meter

The most common model is the option with electronic stuffing and digital scoreboard. Such a counter, as a rule, is of a small size, which means that it will be just right for the apartment.

Thanks to the electronic (ultrasonic) device, he clearly considers the gas meters missed and practically does not fail. Depending on the manufacturer, it is extremely rare to take it out every ten years, which makes it even more attractive to the consumer.

Membrane Gas Meter

Employees of the gas economy insist on this model, since the errors in its work are minimal, and it takes into account any substance passing through it. But for the consumer this is not very good, because our gas often interferes with various cheaper components and do not disdain add to the air mixture.

Where another counter incomprehensible gas mixture is fixed, the membrane catches the slightest change in pressure in the gas system. The advantage of such a device is its low cost, compared with other types of gas meters.

Mechanical / rotary domestic gas meter

This device is the oldest of all, since it was with him that the use of gas metering in private households began. But the old one does not mean bad. Mechanics, of course, have small errors, but they are insignificant.

With scheduled calibration, which is provided after 5-8 years, the gas service often recommends replacing it with a modern one - a membrane one. Doing this is not necessary, since the mechanical meter has all the necessary certificates and is confirmed by GOST.

Volumetric gas meter

This counter is also called rotary, since the gas pressure drives the rotor - the main counter mechanism. This type of meter is rarely used in everyday life, but can be installed where there is a large gas consumption.

Compact gas meter

This kind of household gas meters is perfect for an apartment, if it is unclear how to choose from a large assortment. The very name speaks for itself - it occupies very little space, which means it will be perfect for a small kitchen in a small apartment, since it is in this room that such equipment is installed according to plan.

Whichever type of meter is selected, the consumer needs to know that the installation is carried out only by gas service employees who have a special permit to carry out such work.
