- excessive physical exertion (namely, lifting of heavy loads);
- chronic constipation;
- chronic cough ;
- frequent constipation;
- obesity;
- pregnancy;
- difficult births;
- injuries of the abdominal cavity, etc.

In some women, the inguinal hernia practically does not reveal itself and is detected unexpectedly. But still more often there are the following manifestations:
- presence of a tumor-like protrusion in the groin area, which increases with physical exertion, coughing and sets in a supine position in the abdominal cavity;
- pain and discomfort of varying degrees in the lower abdomen, sometimes giving back to the sacrum or waist;
- disorders of stool, flatulence;
- frequent urination;
- severe menstrual pain.
What is dangerous inguinal hernia in women?
The presence of a hernia in the inguinal region is dangerous due to the development of such complications as infringement, which can develop either suddenly or gradually. At the same time, the walls of the hernial sac close at its entrance, as a result of which the blood supply of tissues that are inside is stopped. Symptoms of this condition are:
- acute unceasing pain in the groin area;
- nausea;
- vomiting;
- fever.
Treatment of inguinal hernia in women
The positive effect of treatment of inguinal hernia in women is impossible without an operation. Therefore, do not waste time on conservative treatment, and even more so self-medication, but it is better to visit an experienced surgeon immediately. Removal of inguinal hernia in women can be carried out through open or laparoscopic surgery.
Modern surgical methods include the installation of a synthetic implant in the groin area, through which the hernial gates are strengthened from the inside. Implant is a mesh that later serves as a skeleton for fouling with its connective tissue, which prevents the bulging of the internal organs beyond the boundaries of the abdominal wall. Such operations are currently being carried out successfully, have a minimal risk of complications.
There are cases when the operation to remove the hernia is impossible in view of the available contraindications, to
- severe cardiovascular diseases;
- some pulmonary diseases;
- elderly age;
- repeated formation of a hernia, etc.
With this in mind inguinal hernia in women shows the wearing of a special bandage, which, although not able to get rid of the pathology, but prevents its progression and the development of complications, helps to alleviate the condition. This bandage is also sometimes prescribed after surgery to prevent secondary development of a hernia.
