National Park "Hartz-Mountains"

What is interesting about the "Hartz Mountains" park?

Many in the park and birds - forest crows, oriental medososy, green rosella delight the eye with their bright colors. Earlier in the park lived Australian aborigines of the Mellukerdi tribe. Today, the "Mountains of Khartz" is one of the best national parks in Tasmania, where both locals and tourists from other continents come with pleasure. Several hiking trails have been laid through the park. The most popular route is to Lake Osborne. This area is very picturesque: the path passes under the arch of trees, and at the end of the route you will see a beautiful lake. This walk takes about 2 hours.

How to get to the Hartz Mountains National Park?

The park is located in South Tasmania, 84 km from Hobart . Before the capital of Tasmania, tourists travel from Sydney or Melbourne to one of the local airlines, and then - by bus or a rented car to the gate of the park.

To enter the Hartz Mountains National Park, you need an entrance ticket - the so-called Park Pass, which is valid for 24 hours. In addition, you must register with the ranger - the so-called employee of the park, which directs visitors to this or that route and is responsible for their safety.
