Rooster of the felt on the tree

In the coming year, the toy cockerel will be on almost every Christmas tree . Such a Christmas tree toy is not necessary to buy - it can be sewn from felt alone.

So, our master class is devoted to sewing a New Year cockerel from felt to the Christmas tree.

A toy on the Christmas tree is a rooster of the felt

To make a toy cockerel we will need:

Progress:

  1. Draw and cut out of the paper pieces of the pattern of the future rooster from the felt to the Christmas tree. We will need:
  • Cut out all the elements of the toy cockerel from the felt.
  • From orange felt - two parts of the body.

Of green felt - two parts of the wing, two parts of the tail and two details of feathers around the neck.

Of the yellow felt - two small parts of the wing and two details of feathers around the neck.

Of red felt - one large part of the tail, two small hearts and two parts of the crest, beak and beard.

  • Let's start sewing a toy. To the details of the trunk in the neck area, we sew the green details of the feathers.
  • A little higher, we sew the yellow details of the feathers.
  • To the green parts of the wings we sew the yellow parts.
  • To the details of the trunk we sew the wings, and to each wing we sew with a small heart.
  • We sew the red and green details of the tail, so that the red part is inside, and the green is outside.
  • Let's make paws for the cockerel. To do this, take two pieces of white lace and put on each segment of three orange beads. We connect the ends of each segment by several knots.
  • Add the details of the trunk, putting a tail and paws between them. Sew the trunk with orange threads, sewing paws and tail. We leave a hole in front of the neck.
  • Fill the torso with a sintepon.
  • Sew a hole.
  • We sew a beak, a comb and a beard from paired details, leaving holes for stuffing with a sintepon.
  • Fill each of this detail with a synthepon.
  • Sew on them holes.
  • We sew the beak with a beak, a beard and a comb.
  • Sew our eyes from the beads.
  • We make a loop of green ribbon - fold it and sew both ends to the back of the cockerel.
  • The cockerel for the Christmas tree is ready. These cockerels are suitable not only for decorating the Christmas tree, they are well complemented with New Year's gifts. Cockerel can be put in a box with a gift, or you can use it to decorate gift wrapping.
