The unique park with the appropriate name "Exotic" (Jardin-Exotique de Monaco) is a beautiful garden that is located on the slope of the cliff and became a viewing platform of the Principality of Monaco . From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the French Riviera. Opening of the garden occurred in 1933, it collected hundreds of thousands of rare plants from around the world - of them only 7,000 species of cacti that grow to a height of more than 10 meters!
Dozens of bridges and arches, flower beds and plant compositions - all this inspires with its beauty and gives you a sense of harmony. This park is already falling in love with successful and novice artists, so many working creators with easels you will meet, walking along the alleys.

Cave of the Observatory
At the base of the rock, which housed the garden "Exotic", in 1916 was discovered by archaeologists a cave. In it were found valuable exhibits: the tools of the Stone Age and the bone of the extinct species of animals. You can study them in the museum of anthropology, which is in the center of the garden. In 1950 the cave was opened for tourists. Of course, all visitors are breathtaking at the sight of spacious halls with amazing outgrowths of stalactites and stalagmites. Cableways along the walls of the cave will lead you to the Mediterranean, but we do not recommend you to descend so deep, because with every step the atmospheric pressure will increase.

Working hours and tariffs
Exotic Garden is open every day of the year, but from May 15 to September 15, it is open until 19.00, and from September 16 until May 14 - until 18.00. On December 19 and 25, sanitary cleaning work is carried out in the park, so it closes.
The cost of a ticket to the garden depends on the age of the visitor:
- children under the age of 6 years are free of charge;
- from 6 years to 18 - 3.60 euros;
- students on the student card - 3.70 euros;
- adults - 7 euros;
- the permission to professional shooting - 2 euros (to receive in administration);
- pensioners (from 65 years old) - 5.30 euros.

At the entrance you can hire yourself a guide who will tell you not only about the plants of the park, but also carry away interesting stories about the life of the Monaco Dynasty. This service will cost you 5 euros and will last 1.5 hours.
How to get to the Exotic Garden?
Jardin-Exotique de Monaco Park is close to Monte Carlo Casino . In order to get to the garden, you can take a taxi (1.2 euros per km), rent a car or take a bus on the Roche-de-Monaco route from Tourist-Fontvieille station. The bus station is open from 6.00 to 21.00, the break between bus routes is 30 minutes. The ticket price from the station to the park is 5 euros per person.
