History of construction

It began to be built in 1975, although the plan and the project were developed five years before. The total construction budget was $ 36 million in Australia. The total height of the building is 309 meters.

Originally, the television tower of Sydney was owned by AMR, which used it exclusively for telecommunications purposes. At that time, the design was called Centrepoint - as well as the nearby shopping center. Later, the owner of the building was replaced - at the beginning of the new century it (along with the trading house) was bought by the Westfield Group company and changed the name. The tower got its current name. Now the Sydney Tower is in the International Federation of the highest towers.

Two playgrounds and a restaurant

For visitors, the building was opened in mid-1981. The tower of Sydney has three components: the lower and upper observation platforms, and also the restaurant.

The first lower platform is considered only conditional, because it is located at an altitude of 251 meters.
