Temporary registration of a child for school

To enroll the child in the first class or transfer it to another school during the school year, each parent must submit a certain package of documents. In particular, an obligatory condition for registration of relations with the educational institution today is the indication of reliable information about the place of official registration and the actual residence of the future student, and the provision of documents confirming this data.

In addition, the priority right of enrolling in any school is enjoyed by children who reside permanently and are registered on the territory of the microdistrict, which is assigned to this educational institution. That is why in each family there may be a need to formalize a temporary registration of a child for the school, even if he has a permanent residence permit at another address.

How can I make a temporary registration for a child for the school?

To register a temporary registration for a child for a school can be exactly the same as a permanent one. For this, both in Russia and in Ukraine it is enough to apply to the regional department of the migration service and submit the following documents:

In the event that at the indicated address, both the mother and the father of the child are temporarily or permanently registered, no other documents will be required. If one of the parents is registered in another place, they will additionally have to give the written consent of the mother or father to the temporary registration of the offspring separately.

In addition, depending on the circumstances, the family may need to temporarily register a child in the apartment of relatives or friends without parents. In such circumstances, the migration service department will have to personally appear to all the owners of the housing in which it is planned to register, as well as to the mother or father for expressing their consent in writing. It should be noted that temporary registration of a child for a school without parents is allowed only from the age of 14.

To receive the ready certificate on registration in most cases it is possible already in 3 working days after application. In this case, the child can enter into the document of the parent or give him his own paper. If it is necessary to clarify any information or provide additional documents, the time for consideration of an application for registration of a temporary registration can be increased to 8 days.

Although such a testimony is required today in most schools, in reality, the need for its provision is not legally enshrined. Despite this, most parents decide to issue this document so that they do not have any obstacles when enrolling their son or daughter at the desired educational institution.
