According to the Slavic traditions, the night before the holiday of Andrey, girls are wondering at the suitors. They try to evoke prophetic dreams, where they would appear to be their betrothed. To do this, you need to place a bowl with water under the bed, and a little bit of kutya, a knife, a mirror and a man's hat or a chip from the fence of the guy who likes it.

To see in the dream narrowed, the girls sowed flax seeds in the pot with the ground, read "Our Father" over it 9 times, standing, kneeling and sitting. After they uttered a conspiracy: "Saint Andrew, I'm flaxen on you, let me know who I'm going to tear up." And the pot was also placed under the bed.

In Ukrainian Polesie, this holiday was considered a holiday of young men. On this day, they were taken to the company of young people in the evening. Young guys jump up to the suspended ritual bread Kalita and bite off a piece of it, after which they treat everyone.
