Timna Valley

The Timna Valley is located in the south of the Arava desert, 25 km north of Eilat and covers an area of ​​60 km². In form it resembles a horseshoe, and the border in the north is the drying stream of Timna, in the south it is Nehushtan.

Going to the valley of Timna, you need to know the mode of operation. The park, open in the valley, operates in the summer (from June to August) - from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm, except on Sundays and Fridays. These days you can see the beauty of the valley from 8:00 in the morning until 13:00 in the afternoon. In winter, the work regime changes, and the park will be open only from 8:00 to 16:00 from Sunday to Thursday.

Walk in the park can be not only on foot and by car, but also on a camel. If you want, you can register for one of several routes in order to fully appreciate the beauty of the area. In the valley of Timna they found a stone, which is an alloy of malachite and lapis lazuli, which has the properties and shades of both stones. But with each season it becomes less and less, so do not delay visiting the valley.
