Ingredients:

Preparation

  1. Initially, prepare the cream for the Swedish cake. To do this, pour milk into the saucepan, throw a vanilla pod and pour a third of the whole amount of granulated sugar. Warm the mixture over medium heat with frequent stirring until boiling.
  2. Simultaneously, whisk egg yolks with starch, and then pour hot, sweet, vanilla milk into the resulting whipped yolk mass, continuously and intensively stirring the ingredients with the help of a whisk. Do not forget to extract the vanilla pod from the milk.
  3. We put the base of the cream again on the stove, setting the burner on the smallest fire, and warm the mass, continuously whisking until thick.
  4. Now we shift the finished cream into a wide container and leave it on the table under room conditions to cool down.
  5. In the meantime, we are going to prepare a biscuit. First we sift the flour and combine it with a baking powder.
  6. Chicken eggs whisk at high speed with a mixer, gradually pouring the remaining sugar.
  7. When all the sugar crystals are dissolved, and the egg mass becomes airy and lush, mix the flour into it, whilst continuing the substance to whip intensively while doing this.
  8. At the end of the batch, pour the filtered water into the dough and whip it a little more.
  9. The bottom and walls of the round form for baking are lined with parchment cuts and we put into it the cooked biscuit dough.
  10. We arrange the basis of biscuit in a heated to 175 degree oven and leave for forty-five minutes. We select in the baking device the mode of the upper and lower heater without convection.
  11. While it is baked, and then it cools down on the biscuit table, we prepare the marzipan. It must be painted with dyes in the right color. In this case, the main top layer will be green. We will make the decor in the form of a red rose and more green in color than the main background. If desired, the color gamut can be selected according to your preferences or mood. For example, you can make the top of the cake "Princess" pink, and a pink rose or vice versa. It is best to use high-quality gel dyes. You need to pinch a bit of marzipan for the flower and leaves, and fill the rest with green or other colors and mix it to its even distribution. The same is done with small marzipan lumps, turning them from white to red and dark green.
  12. Making out the cake, cut the sponge cake into three equal longitudinal parts and smear the bottom with raspberry jam.
  13. On top distribute a little whipped cream and cover everything with a second layer of biscuit. Cream can be used already ready, but it's best to whip them yourself, adding the powdered sugar to your taste.
  14. Now the turn of the custard prepared at the first stage. We spread it all on the second cake and level it.
  15. On top again, add whipped cream and cover the composition with the third crust.
  16. A little pressing the upper cake, leveling the shoulder blade edge and covering the surface of the cake with the remaining whipped cream.
  17. Now the turn of marzipan. A green com for the main coating is rolled between two sheets of parchment paper until a circular layer about two millimeters thick and about forty-five centimeters in diameter is obtained.
  18. Cover the cake with a rolled marzipan green layer and press it gently, giving the product a neat shape.
  19. Cut the edges of the marzipan from below, from red marzipan we make a rose, and from a dark green leaf. We place the decor on top of the cake and tear if desired, the product is a little powdered sugar.
