One of the popular carnival costumes for girls is the Disney costume of Cinderella, who came to the ball.
Of course, it's not a simple matter to sew a ball dress, but using our master class and patterns, you can sew a beautiful Cinderella costume for yourselves.
Master class: how to sew a Cinderella costume?
It will take:
- White, light blue and bright blue satin.
- A thin rubber band is Hungarian and an ordinary rubber band 5 mm wide.
- White hard tulle.
- Blue chiffon with sparkles.
- Thin lace (3-5 mm).
- Paper for the pattern.
- Tools for sewing.
Bodice
To sew a bodice you can use pattern data
or make your own:
- Take the T-shirt of the child and mark 5 necessary points on paper. We connect the points by lines, making a line of the throat and arm of the arm semicircular. Folding the paper in half, we cut out 2 parts.
- On the first detail draw the lines, as shown in the photo, cut out the neck and cut it into 3 parts.
- On the second part, draw the inclined lines and cut this way:
- Cut out two sides of the bodice from the bright blue satin, and then sew them on the shoulder and side: right front with right rear, left front with left rear. If we use a ready-made pattern, then we cut out 4 such details, making allowances of 1-2 cm.
- For the "stiff" center of the bodice, we take a piece of light blue satin (about 50 cm wide), insert a thin elastic band into the sewing machine and, bending the edge, we spread through the entire width of the fabric.
- Further we spend all the fabric, retreating between the lines of 1 cm.
- To the wrong side of the "wrapped" fabric, we put papyrus paper, and on top the pattern of the front inner part. Cut out by making an allowance of 2 cm. In order for the part to hold a shape, we must necessarily stretch it along the contour. This is Box # 1.
- We take the two right sides of the sides of the bodice, fold them face-to-face with each other, we insert the insert No. 1 between them, facing the front of the part, and we spend it.
- Also do with the left details of the bodice on the other side of the insert number 1 and turn it out. The front and back should look like this:
- We take the remaining knitted fabric and apply it to the free side of the left parts of the bodice at the specified point.
- Turning the double details of the bodice on the wrong side, we put the rolled fabric between them with the front side to the back part and we spread out all three layers.
- After this, we do the fitting on the child and cut off excess material from the cloth. We tie the second side of the inset No. 2 from the underside and turn it out.
- If everything is correctly sewn, then turn it back to the wrong side and spread the neck from the right and left sides.
- On the entire inside of the side parts, hand sew a thin lace.
- On this pattern of sleeves made of half-folded white fabric we cut out 2 parts. From the wrong side we spend the short side of each part.
- On the rounded side we thread the thread. Pulling it, pull the fabric up to the circumference of the sleeve.
- Turning the bodice on the wrong side, we sew both sleeves to it.
- We bend the edge of the sleeve by 1 cm, spread it out, leaving a hole to insert the rubber band. After measuring the girth of the child's hand, cut off the elastic band with a margin of 5 cm. We insert the elastic band and zigzag stitch the ends superimposed on each other. The fabric is evenly distributed over the elastic band.
Skirt
It consists of three layers:
- skirt - satin size: length +5 cm, width - 2 girth of the waist;
- povyubnik - hard tulle size: the desired length of +5 cm, width - several waist girths (the more, the more luxurious the skirt will be);
- top layer - chiffon size: length +5 cm, width - 3 girth of the waist.
- The lower edge of each fabric is sewn (tulle at will is possible and not to hem). Atlas and chiffon sew on the side edges to make the pipes.
- Let's stretch the top edge of the tulle with two threads (wrap and simple seam), and then, pulling the colored thread, pull together to make the edge of the tulle one size with the edge of the satin, for accuracy tulle over the satin.
- In the same way, we pull off the chiffon and put it on top of the tulle. Break all three layers.
- We take an elastic band equal in length to the waist circumference + 2.5 cm, and we sew it in a zigzag. Through the entire length of the gum, we evenly puncture the connected layer of the skirt onto 8 pins. Evenly distributing the folds, we zigzag zigzag all layers to the rubber band.
- From a white satin and a hard tulle cut out 2 circles with a radius of 20-25 cm. Fold them in half with the wrong side and impose on the edge of the semicircle, the seam wrap.
- Sweeping along the same edge, we collect it by pulling the thread and sewing it to the bottom of the bodice "upside down".
