Crafts from sacking

In this article we will tell you about handmade sack crafts. You will learn how to make a brownie from sacking, how to transform a nondescript piece of a sack into the most beautiful flowers, and also what else you can make of this seemingly not too beautiful material.

Flowers from burlap: master class

Making flowers from sacking with your own hands is quite simple. To do this you will need burlap, several openwork ribbons, thin soft fleece strips (if desired), pins, needles and threads, scissors, beads or beads (to decorate the finished flower).

Let's get to work:

  1. Rectangular piece of burlap piled along in half and begin to fold into a tube.
  2. Turning this way a small piece, fix the folded "roll" with a pin, and make a hall on the remaining fabric in the opposite direction, starting to form petals.
  3. We continue to fold our "tube", from time to time making bends on the fabric to make the rose a relief. We continue to do this until the flower is the size that we need.
  4. We fasten the edge of the flower with a pin so that it does not fall apart, and we begin to make the flower lining. To do this, we take a long rectangular strip of a suitable thin fabric (its width should be slightly larger than the diameter of the flower) and let the thread pass through one end of it, attaching the fabric to the folds. The edges of the fabric are fixed so that they do not creep. As a result, we get here is such a cute tissue circle. By the way, in the same way you can make charming lace pads.
  5. For a change, you can make another kind of lining under the flowers - cut out a circle from the felt and cut it from the edge towards the middle. Now that all the parts of the flower are ready, let's start assembling.
  6. We take a circle of ordinary fabric, on top of it we fix the openwork circle (or felt with cuts).
  7. Then we fix the flower from the burlap on the structure and decorate it on top if desired - you can embroider with beads, and you can fix the finished brooch on top.
  8. For a change in the bouquet, you can add another kind of flowers. It will be done the same way as the first, with the only difference that on the reverse side of the sacking we fix the strip of fleece (any color).

Brownie from sacking with own hands

We have already made a house made of nylon . To make this house we will need: burlap, scissors, needle and thread, filler (sintepon), elastic fabric (kapron tights perfectly suited), blanks for eyes, glue (hot or PVA), wire, cardboard (can be from any box) .

Completing of the work:

  1. Cut out a burlap rectangle, from which we make the trunk and head. Fold the fabric in half and sew on the sides (bottom corners are better to slightly round). In the upper part of the rectangle we stretch the threads (from the remaining we make the hair, and the removed ones will go to the mustache and eyebrows).
  2. To make a beard, bind a bunch of removed fibers with the same thread, bend and carefully correct. Similarly, we make a mustache.
  3. We make a nose from a circle kapron tights. We pass along the edge of the thread, pull together and fill the resulting bag with a sintepon. At the end, we tighten and tie the "bag". Beard, mustache and nose are ready.
  4. We return to the trunk. We make a marking on the edge of the rectangle and where there is a neck of a housekeeper.
  5. We fill the torso with a house-made sintepon and tighten the threads.
  6. If you do not have ready doll eyes, we collect them from pieces of colored cardboard or plastic (glue PVA).
  7. We do the pens.
  8. And fix them on the trunk.
  9. We begin to make the legs of a house-shoe, or rather, a bast shoes. Cut out two cardboard blanks. One of them is densely pasted with burlap, and the second one is bulky, filling the gap between the cloth and the cardboard sintepon.
  10. We sew the two halves together, close the joint place with a pigtail from the previously removed burlap fibers and attach the prepared legs to the trunk (the bulk side of the bast shoes from above).
  11. Then it is necessary to sew a house-cloth for clothes.
  12. We fix the cap on the head. Crop too long hair with scissors.
  13. We give the beard a beautiful shape and the desired length, fix it on the face of the housekeeper with hot glue. Then, just shorten and glue the mustache.
  14. After that, we fix on the face a nose, eyes and eyebrows.
  15. At the end we glue our mouth (from a piece rolled up in a "bagel" cloth).

Next, you can decorate the craft on your own. You can give a house bag a bag with "wealth" or "luck", attach flowers to the hat, put a money tree next to it - whatever you want.

As a result, we have turned out to be such a charming little housekeeper-amulet.
