Tablets Dexalgin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and potent anesthetic prescribed for prescription.
Composition and form of tablets Dexalgin
The active substance Dexalgina is deksetoprofen - a substance with a pronounced analgesic and antipyretic effect. The anti-inflammatory effect of the drug is much less pronounced.
Dexalgin is a biconvex tablet covered with a white film membrane. The preparation is produced in blisters of 10 tablets, packed in cardboard packs of 1, 3 or 5 blisters.
One tablet of Dexalgine contains 25 mg of active ingredient.
Indications and contraindications for the use of tablets Dexalgin
Because the anti-inflammatory effect of the drug is insignificant, Dexalgin tablets are usually used as an anesthetic for:
- menstrual cramps;
- tooth pain;
- radiculitis, neuralgia, ishalgia;
- in the postoperative period;
- with acute or chronic arthritis, spondylitis , arthrosis, osteochondrosis and other inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
The drug is contraindicated in:
- reception of anticoagulants and disruption of blood coagulation;
- severe renal, hepatic or heart failure;
- stomach or bowel ulcer;
- bronchial asthma;
- hemorrhagic diathesis;
- pregnancy, breast-feeding;
- in case of individual intolerance.
The drug may cause drowsiness, dizziness, a decrease in the rate of reactions, therefore, during the period of its administration, it is not recommended to drive or engage in other activities that require high reaction rates and concentration.
In the relatively rare cases with the use of Dexalgina can be observed:
- nausea;
- vomiting;
- diarrhea;
- violation of sleep;
- urticaria ;
- jaundice;
- cardiopalmus;
- lowering of blood pressure.
Instructions for the use of tablets Dexalgin
Dexalgin is used for symptomatic treatment and is not intended for long-term use, that is, over 3-5 days. Analgesic effect is observed about 30 minutes after taking and remains 4-6 hours.
According to the instructions, Dexalgin is taken on half the tablets up to 6 times a day or 1 tablet up to 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose of the drug is 75 mg (3 tablets). For the elderly or patients with liver or kidney disease - 2 tablets.
