How to make a vase of paper?

Flowers and compositions of them are often used to decorate the interior. If a waterproof container is required for fresh flowers, even a vase made of plain paper is suitable for artificial flowers. And the paper can be office, and color, and even toilet! Old newspapers and magazines will do as well. It all depends on your imagination! The indisputable advantage of this kind of needlework is that material costs are practically non-existent, because paper, scissors and glue are in every house.

We offer some original ideas that will help you make a vase of paper with your own hands.

Vase-braid

Before making such a vase of paper, take care of the necessary amount of material. It is better for this purpose to use glossy magazines to make a voluminous vase of paper bright.

We will need:

  1. Cut the paper into long strips of the same width (about 7 centimeters). On a stick or knife thread a strip, starting from any corner. To prevent the tube from spinning, fix its edges with glue. Then gently remove the stick from the tube. If you plan to make a big vase of paper (as in our master class), then such details will take about twenty.
  2. It's time to start weaving our vase, crafts made of colored glossy paper. To do this, stack three tubes vertically and horizontally, as shown in the figure. Then the third tube, which lies vertically, is wrapped around all the ends of the tubes on one side and then on the other. If its length was not enough for this, insert one more into the end of the tube, having previously glued it with glue. Make another one of these same loops.
  3. The bottom of the vase is ready. Now each end of the tube (all of which should be eleven plus one end, the "leading") is braided, passing the "leading" tube between the others. Make sure that the distance between the tube-beams was the same. Continue weaving until the diameter of the bottom of the vase reaches the size that suits you.
  4. Bend all the ends of the tubes up and continue to weave the vase. The height can be any, because you already know how to extend the tube. But you can experiment with the shape of the vase. If you compact the weave, it will narrow, loosen - get a wider vase.
  5. Do you like the height of the walls of the vase? It's time to start processing its edges. To do this, cut the "leading" tube. Lubricate its tip with glue, press it to the edge and fix it with the clamp. The remaining eleven pipes are "removed" as follows: pass through the bent adjacent tube so that the loop-arc is obtained.
  6. Tightly tighten the loop and cut off excess. The handicraft is ready!

Vase - "five minutes"

This original and simple vase made of toilet paper, or rather from cardboard rolls from it, will require minimum effort. It is enough to cut out a circle from the cardboard, which will be used as a stand, and glue a roll to it. And that's all! The vase is ready. But without ornaments, it does not look very aesthetic, so you should pay attention to the decor. You can simply paint it or make an interesting application of paper.

Creation of such an article can be entrusted to the child, because nothing is complicated in this. The kid is guaranteed to enjoy the creativity, and you will have several minutes of free time.

Fantasize, create and enjoy the results!
