In this article, we will tell you which games can be played with a child at the age of 8 months to stimulate the development of the baby and promote faster learning of new skills.

Developing games for children 8 months

The main tasks of developing games for children of 8 months, both at home and on the street - is to stimulate the motor activity of crumbs and its familiarity with surrounding objects.

Almost all eight-month-old children already know how to sit down without the help of adults, get up, hold on to the support, and quickly crawl on all fours. It is these skills of the youngster that should be used in the game. In addition, at the age of 8 months, the child is actively developing a speech center. As a rule, babies are many and often babbling, and they constantly rejoice their mother and father with new sounds.

To stimulate the development of active speech crumbs, you need at least a few minutes a day to play various finger games, as well as offer the child small items, such as buttons or wooden beads. Such activities contribute to the development of fine motor skills of the fingers of the crumbs and, accordingly, the activation of the speech center.

Also with a baby at 8 months, it is useful to play one of the following games:

  1. "Catch, fish!" Take 2 large enough tanks and fill them with water. In one of them, place a few small items. Show the baby how to catch objects with a small glass and transfer them to another container, and let your child try to do it themselves.
  2. " Sticker !" Get reusable stickers and paste on different parts of the body crumbs. Let the kid find where exactly the bright picture hid, and try to re-paste it to another place. Always sound where the sticker is located, so you will help your son or daughter to get acquainted with the parts of your body.
  3. "The Magic Road." Make for your child a rather wide strip of cloth or paper and sew to it different in shape and size pieces of other materials - wool, silk, cardboard, foam rubber, polyethylene and so on. Try to fulfill the "road" in such a way that it will form bulges and irregularities. Show your child how to drive it with a small pen. Let the baby crawl and feel the "merry way" to experience different tactile sensations.
