If you have ever been engaged in decorating a room for a holiday, then you perfectly understand the important role played here by all sorts of trivia: balloons, garlands and various thematic decorations. Today we will learn how to make a garland of hearts with our own hands, which will help decorate any apartment, office or hall. Most often these garlands are made for St. Valentine's Day, but they can be used for other holidays: weddings, anniversaries, etc.
How to make a garland of paper hearts?
Prepare two-sided colored paper for work (preferably, choose a dense and flexible at the same time), a sharp clerical knife, a metal ruler and a stapler. Also you will need a special surface for cutting paper with division (it is also called a mounting mat). If you do not have such a rug, you can cut it on a glass, cutting board or other hard surface that you do not mind scratching.
Garland of hearts with their own hands is done easily and quickly.
- Place a sheet of paper horizontally and cut it into strips 2 cm wide. From this figure depends the size of the future hearts, and on their number - the length of the garland. If you plan to make a long garland, then you can cut several sheets at the same time.
- Fold each strip in half. Take one piece of paper and secure it with a stapler.
- Now bend the two free ends of the strip inward, forming a heart. Gently secure it inside. You will have the first heart.
- Each subsequent piece is inserted into the bend between the two halves of the previous heart, fastening with clamps. You can do the opposite: starting from the second heart, we apply the fold of the strip to the base of the previous element and wrap it down, simultaneously securing both the bottom of the second and the top of the third heart, and so on. Choose the most convenient way for yourself, and the garland will "grow" very quickly.
- Such a garland of hearts can be made from multi-colored paper or from felt-type fabric. The advantage of just such an article is that it can be curled up with beautiful curls and hung on furniture, a chandelier or stretched on a wall.
