Haddock, like all cod fish, is low in fat content and high in protein. It can be said that this large Atlantic fish overtakes the last of all its relatives, except for pollock. Recipe for haddock in batter
Dish from haddock, the recipe of which we will consider below, is the main component of the British dietary fast food "fish & chips", that is fried in deep-fried fish with French fries .
Ingredients:
- ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp;
- dried parsley - pinch;
- salt - a pinch;
- ground chili - pinch;
- self-rising flour - 200 g;
- light beer - 200 g;
- fillet of haddock - 4 pcs .;
- vegetable oil - for frying.
Preparation
Prepare a fillet of haddock in a batter is simple, but first you need to cook it yourself. Mix the sifted self-rising flour with a pinch of salt, black pepper and chili, and also with dried parsley. Dilute the flour with a light beer until you get a thick dough, like a pancake.

The recipe for haddock soup
Ingredients:
- smoked haddock - 450 g;
- bay leaf - 1 piece;
- olive oil - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- butter - 50 g;
- onions - 2 pcs .;
- shallots - 2 pieces;
- celery - 3 stems;
- corn - 140 g;
- garlic - 3 cloves;
- potatoes - 900 g;
- fresh thyme - 2 teaspoons;
- milk - 600 ml;
- fresh parsley for serving.
Preparation
We put the fish in a saucepan, pour 600 ml of water, put the bay leaves and bring the liquid to a boil. After boiling, cook the haddock for about 2 minutes, remove the pan from the fire and let the broth steep for 2 minutes. We extract the fish and laurel, sort the haddock into slices and return it to the broth.
In a frying pan, we warm up the olive oil and butter. Fry sliced garlic, both types of onions, celery until soft. Season the vegetables with thyme, pour the ladle of fish broth and stew for 10 minutes. Half of the remaining broth is used to mash the boiled potatoes. Mix the puree with broth and milk, put the mixture on the fire and heat it for 3 minutes. Add the vegetable frying, corn and sprinkle the soup with fresh herbs.
You can also repeat the recipe for haddock in the multivariate. Pour pieces of potatoes and fried vegetables with broth, turn on the "Soup" mode for an hour, and then beat the soup with a blender, add corn and milk.
Fish cutlets from haddock fillets
