HAMEDOREIA - home care

Hearing the word hamedorei, not everyone will understand what plant is talking about, but meanwhile this is a long-familiar room (bamboo) palm with leaves like ferns. Did you recognize your favorite flower? And do you know what kind of care is required for a hammedore at home? If not, then the following information will be interesting to you.

Palma hamedoroya - care and reproduction

Hamedorei at home requires good care, since the palm is not that capricious, but rather demanding on the conditions of detention. Thus, the chadadorea tolerates temperature fluctuations quite well, but the ideal temperature for its content will be not more than 17 ° C throughout the year. True, the plant will carry higher temperatures, but with increased humidity. At home, such care can be provided by using daily water sprinkling with warm water (or even better 2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening) and installing a container with wet rubble next to the plant. In summer, the flower is not bad in the open air, but with protection from sunlight. In general, the palm feels good in any light, except the direct sun. Also, do not put the flower on the battery - the air there is too hot and overdried, so all your efforts to create a plant ideal conditions will be in vain.

The flower should be watered moderately, the hamedoray does not like dry soil, but also an excess of moisture. Therefore, you should take care of the palm in this respect carefully, avoiding drying the soil and stagnating the moisture in the pot. Feed the plant every two weeks with a mild fertilizer solution for indoor plants.

As for the transplant, the first after the purchase, you need to do 2-3 weeks after the appearance of the hammedorea in your home. The ground is bought ready or made on its own, mixing clayey-sod, humus-leaf, peaty soil, reparted manure and sand. The proportions for the mixture are 2: 2: 1: 1: 1, respectively. You can also add a little charcoal. When transplanting the pot is chosen for a couple of centimeters more than the previous one. It should be remembered that young plants are required to transplant more often than to more mature hamedores. So, initially the flower should be transplanted every 2 years, but gradually the intervals between transplants need to be increased.

Multiplying hamedoroyu can sprouts and seeds, but the seeds do it easier. After buying the seeds should be immediately planted in the soil, as they quickly lose their germination. The container with seeds should be placed in a warm place, with a temperature of at least 25 ° C and constantly moisten the soil. For greater effect, the container with seeds can be covered with a polyethylene film. The main thing is not to forget to periodically vent this mini-greenhouse to prevent the appearance of mold. After about 1-1.5 months, the seeds will germinate. After the seedlings are strengthened, they can be planted in separate pots.

The above recommendations are valid for all types of hamedoray. But the most unpretentious kind is by right a hamedorea elegant (elegance), because caring for it usually does not cause any trouble.

Diseases of the Honey

Most often the palm suffers from the appearance of ticks. To combat these pests, you need to arrange a plant shower and sprinkle with special preparations. And since the mite appears due to excessive dryness of the air, it will subsequently be necessary to provide the necessary humidity.

Also, the leaves can begin to turn yellow. If this occurs immediately after purchase or transplantation, then it's okay - so the plant reacts to a change in the conditions of the maintenance, and of course periodically the leaves must change - the old ones turn yellow, fall off, and they are replaced by new ones. If the leaves dry too actively, your palm does not have enough water, so you need to immediately increase the watering.

The dark tips of the leaves of the hamodorei indicate a low temperature of the content or a low humidity of the air. Hence it is necessary either to transfer the plant to a warmer room or to spray more often.

As you can see, it is not so difficult to care for hamedoray, the most important thing is to ensure sufficient humidity of the air and your palm tree will long please you with green leaves.
