Herringbone of felt

Felt - the material is pliable and inexpensive, so it is ideal for making various crafts. Different in size fir-trees made of felt, made by own hands, can decorate the present New Year's tree. Yes, and as hanging decorative elements, such hand-made items look spectacular and unusual. We offer a master class on making a Christmas tree out of felt with our own hands, using elementary patterns.

We will need:

  1. Cut out the stars from the paper, attach them to the felt, circle and cut out the details. Line up the details from the felt in the order of decreasing size, starting from the bottom.
  2. Cut 40-45 centimeters of thread and fold it in half. Then thread it in the needle so that the thread is folded four times. Near the details of felt put from the bottom tier, beads. For the three lower parts you will need 3 beads, for the three middle ones - two, and for the three upper levels - one. To use too large beads it is not necessary, as the Christmas tree will turn out too thin and high.
  3. Through the center of the yellow star, enter the needle, leaving a loop on top. It is necessary for the decoration to be hung. Then tie a knot.
  4. Pass the needle through the bead, and then through the smallest green star from the felt. Alternating beads and felt parts, form a Christmas tree.
  5. After that, your craft should look like this:
  6. Under the bottom part, tie a knot, and cut the excess ends of the thread.
  7. Now the herringbone made of felt, made on a simple pattern, is ready.

Even in this form, the handicraft looks cute and fun. But perfection does not have a limit, therefore, having secured a fantasy, you can decorate it with various decorative elements. Despite the apparent softness, felt has a sufficiently dense texture, so it can withstand easily and large beads, and small metal jewelry. What can we say about sequins, paper or ribbons?

Mom's to note

If your baby is not averse to participating in the process of creating a Christmas tree of felt, ask him to do the following craft. Wrap a cone of foam or cardboard with a green felt, cut small colored circles of cloth or paper, and trust the child to decorate the child. The task is elementary, but the kid will be delighted, and you will have some free time for creativity!

Another version of the Christmas tree can be sewn from the remains of fabric.
