Foods harmful to lactation
Before getting acquainted with a number of products to increase the lactation of a nursing mother, you should find out what should not be used to avoid problems with the amount of milk. After all, some seemingly innocuous ingredients, which we are accustomed to daily add to the dishes of our diet, during this period are able to do harm. This does not mean that occasional, one-time administration of them will significantly reduce the amount of milk, but regular use will certainly lead to this.
So, for lactation of breast milk, do not include the following products in the menu:
- smoked meat, sausages, fish;
- sharp spices;
- mint, sage, parsley, basil, hops, a sheet of walnut, cowberry, horsetail.
Drinks for lactation
As you know, before feeding (15-20 minutes) it is advisable to take a warm shower and drink a useful herbal tea or other beverage related to products for increasing lactation in nursing mothers. It:
- tea with milk;
- warm infusion of fennel seeds or cumin;
- dried fruits compote;
- Herb tea;
- natural juice and mors;
- barley coffee;
- tea from ginger.
Products for good lactation
In addition to beverages, a woman's diet should contain products designed to enhance lactation of milk. This is especially important at the time of lactation, when any fluctuations from the outside (malnutrition, nedosyp, nervous tension), greatly affect the amount of milk.
If a woman and an infant do not have an individual intolerance, it is useful to include in the diet:
- watermelon - thanks to a large amount of liquid saturated with vitamins and minerals, it stimulates the production of milk;
- onions with carrots in any form - stewed, cheese, boiled, also positively affect the enhancement of lactation;
- meat broths of white chicken meat, turkey meat, rabbit meat, beef, in addition to stimulating milk rush increase its fat content;
- sour-milk products, such as low-fat sour cream, cottage cheese, cheese, will become an excellent caloric component of the mother's diet;
- rice, oat and buckwheat porridge perfectly suited as a breakfast, that for the whole day to charge the body with energy and forces for the production of milk.
In addition to products, there are herbs, which can also be recommended in the form of broths and tea to enhance lactation. These are melissa, anise, fennel, nettle, chamomile. They not only increase the amount of milk, but also soothe the nervous system of mom and baby, help fight colic and improve sleep.
