Composition and action of inconsolable

The active substance of the drug is ambroxol hydrochloride, which stimulates ciliary activity and the synthesis of pulmonary surfactant. Simply put, it stimulates the secretion of mucus (sputum) in the respiratory tract, facilitates its excretion and helps to reduce the cough.

Ambroxol is quickly absorbed into the blood, so the therapeutic effect is achieved very quickly. Already in the range from half an hour to three hours after taking the concentration of the active substance in the blood reaches a maximum. A large amount of active substance is concentrated directly in the zone of action, that is, in the lungs. The advantages of the remedy are that it is easily excreted from the body without accumulating in the tissues.

Dosing and Administration

Lazolvan tablets for children under 12 years of age are prescribed in a dose of 15 mg. Take them 2-3 times a day. Lazolvan pastilles for children over 12 years and adults are prescribed according to the following scheme: the first 2-3 days - 30 mg three times a day, then 30 mg twice or 15 mg three times a day.

Inhalation for children with lazolvan

In the form of inhalations for children under 2 years use 7.5 mg, children 2-5 years 15 mg, older than 5 years and adults - 15-22.5 mg per inhalation. Usually appoint one or two inhalations per day. If more than one procedure per day is not possible, additionally, other forms of lazolvan are prescribed: lozenges, syrup or solution.

Side effects

The bulk of cases of reception is not accompanied by occurrence of by-effects. In rare cases, slight disorders of the digestive tract are possible (dyspepsia or heartburn, in rare cases, nausea and vomiting). There may be allergies in the form of rashes or redness on the skin. Sometimes it is possible to develop severe cases of allergy, up to anaphylactic shock, but their connection with the use of lazolvana is not established.

Contraindications include individual hypersensitivity or intolerance to ambroxol or other components of the drug.

There is no prohibition to prescribe lazolvan during pregnancy or lactation. Preclinical studies and extensive clinical experience did not reveal any dangerous or undesirable effects on the fetus during pregnancy (at periods over the 28th week). When appointing funds in the early stages, one should take into account the usual warnings to use drugs, in particular in the first trimester.
