Nothing will please your close people like a daily tea party from New Year's cups, donated for the New Year and decorated with your own hands. There are a lot of decorating options, but we will tell you about the technique of stained glass.
Preparation for work
To decorate the mug you need to prepare the following materials:
- the mug itself. Effectively it will look stained glass on a glass mug;
- stained water-based paints;
- The contour of ceramics and black glass;
- A handle for painting on glass or a marker for CDs.

To make a unique gift, you must perform the following steps:
STEP 1. Degreasing the mug. This is achieved in many ways: washing with detergent, wiping with a cotton disc moistened with alcohol or acetone, washing in a soda solution.
STEP 2. Drawing the outline of the chosen picture on the New Year theme. You can use the outlines suggested below.
STEP 3. The relief contour. It's time to create a relief contour, thanks to which the paint will not spread. It must be done very carefully. Press the tube of the contour with a dispenser to the surface of the cup at an angle of 45 °. Pressing the tube will squeeze out the paint. Lines are applied with the same pressure and speed.
STEP 4. Painting. Wait until the paint has dried (1-3 hours), and prepare the paint on the palette (it can be replaced with foil or ceramic plate). At a rapid rate, apply the paint within the boundaries of the indicated contour.
STEP 5. Drying. For use, the mug must dry within 24 hours. To fix the pattern, set the mug in the oven at 130 ° C for no more than half an hour. Instead of the oven, you can use acrylic lacquer. A wonderful present is ready!
