Sometimes involuntarily surprised when you see what wonderful things you can make with your own hands from improvised materials. In this master class, we will consider how to make a pick-up for curtains with your own hands from a cut cord and two kinds of fabric. With the help of such an accessory for curtains, you can beautifully assemble them. This, of course, is not a catch for Kansas curtains, but in the interior of the room it will look no less spectacular. If you manage to master this master-class on how to sew podstvaty for curtains, then you will learn the technique of weaving, which is very useful more than once. So, in order to make such pickups for curtains we need:
- piece of denim (1x1 meter);
- any mottled fabric (1x1 meter);
- a string of cotton (5 meters);
- Threads that match the color;
- sewing machine;
- scissors;
- a piece of chalk;
- homemade plaiting machine.
- To begin with, we measure on the diagonal a strip having a width of 4 centimeters and 120 centimeters of length.
- Fold the pattern of picking for the curtains of denim in half, inside the face, and spend, retreating from the edge of 1 centimeter.
- Then cut the allowance, to the seam we do not cut 0.5 centimeters.
- We turn the workpiece out, inward we pass the cord from the cotton.
- In order to weave a twisted cord, two cuts (equal in length) from denim and two other contrasting colors will be needed.
- We make a cardboard weaving machine: we need a square of 10 * 10 centimeters from a thick cardboard, strictly on the center we make a hole of such size that all four cord there easily passed. On the opposite sides of the machine we make slots parallel to each other.
- We connect all four laces in a knot and pass through the central hole. We fasten the cords in the slots as follows: denim on the right and on top, in contrast color - on the left and below.
- We change the places of the lower and upper cords.
- Turn the cardboard against the clockwise direction to the edge, then swap the lower and upper cords. It is important to follow one rule: you need to change the cords in places so that the colored cord always passes from its side, and the jeans one in its own way.
- Here you can clearly see how during the turn of the machine against the clockwise direction, the lower and upper cords change places, so that they pass exactly from the side where the cords of exactly the same color are fastened.
- In the process of weaving, do not forget to carefully draw a braided cord through the hole.
