Polinainax during breastfeeding

Polynynax is a combined topical drug intended for the treatment of infections and inflammatory diseases of the female sexual system. The active substances of the drug are 2 types of antibiotic to suppress the development of bacteria - neomycin and polymyxin B, and 1 antibiotic for exposure to fungi - nystatin.

These active substances, thanks to the auxiliary components, spread well along the mucous membrane, filling all the small folds of the vagina and cervix. If you use the Polyguns according to the instructions, its components are almost not absorbed into the blood and do not have a general effect on the mother's body.

Polinainax at breastfeeding

As for the use of Polizinax during breastfeeding, this is highly undesirable. Despite its relative safety for the mother's organism as a whole, the drug can penetrate into the blood. And this means that even with minimal concentrations in the blood of the active ingredients, they will inevitably enter the breast milk when applying Polizinax to nursing mothers.

The effect of the constituent components of Polizhinaks on the child during lactation is toxic and affects the kidneys and the hearing aid.

Nyomycin is an antibiotic of the aminoglycoside group. It is rarely used for oral administration because of its pronounced toxic effects on the kidneys and hearing organs. With topical application, it is almost not absorbed into the blood, but even small doses of this antibiotic in the mother's blood can lead to negative consequences for the baby.

Polymyxin B from the group of antibiotic polymyxins is also capable of exerting toxic effects on the kidneys and hearing aids. In addition, it increases the side effect of neomycin.

Nystatin is an antifungal antibiotic that is prohibited for use during pregnancy and lactation.

As you can see, Polizinaks during breastfeeding is quite unsafe, so if possible, it should be replaced with another, more sparing drug.
