Stewed cucumbers

Squash, eggplant or peppers cooked everything. But the stewed cucumbers tried a few. We used to use them fresh and did not even think about heat treatment. And completely in vain. From them original and tasty dishes are obtained. Cook, and see for yourself.

Stuffed stuffed cucumber with meat in sour cream

Filling for our cucumbers will be any minced meat, in which for taste we add finely chopped onions, salt and pepper, and for a more delicate taste breadcrumbs. We mix the mass and set aside.

Cucumbers choose not very young, better ripe, large and dense. We rinse them in cold water, clean them from the skin and cut them into two to three pieces, depending on the length of the vegetable. With a teaspoon, we remove the inside with the seeds and fill the vacated space with the prepared stuffing.

We cut the bacon with very thin plates. We wrap each stuffed part of a cucumber with one slice of bacon, if necessary, attaching the closing edges with a toothpick. Brush separately in a red-hot vegetable oil and add it to a deep saucepan or kazanok.

Sour cream is mixed with salt, pepper, spices and herbs and poured into cucumbers. If necessary, add a little water. Extinguish in a lid for twenty minutes, and remove from heat.

We serve a dish with boiled potatoes, fresh tomatoes or tomato sauce, decorating with fresh herbs.

Onions are cleaned, cut into cubes and fried in a cauldron or a deep saucepan for five minutes.

Cucumbers mine, cut into not too thin mugs or slices, sprinkled with flour and sent to the onions. Fry two or three minutes, add diced tomatoes, sour cream, water, season with salt, a mixture of ground peppers and herbs. We keep the dish on a moderate fire for ten to fifteen minutes, covering the dishes with a lid. At the end of cooking, we throw finely chopped dill.
