Wood Quilling

The art of quilling gives the needlewomen a vast space for imagination. By twisting different width strips of paper into simple modules, you can create both elementary figures and volumetric compositions. To create a tree in the quilling technique, it is enough to learn how to twist simple pieces of paper. Want to try? For those who do not yet know how to make a tree in Chinese style from quilling paper, we have prepared this master class. So, let's get started.

We will need:

  1. To create a tree in the quilling technique it is necessary to make several dozen leaves, which are the simplest modules. To do this, take a paper strip of green color, twist it into a roll and place it in the hole of the ruler for quilling. The roll will blossom. Then pull it by the center to the edge.
  2. Tweezers remove the roll from the ruler and squeeze it in the center. Sharp ends on both sides of the center. Then bend the sheet in half and glue the pointed ends. You will have a sheet. Similarly, do a few dozen of these leaves. If you want the leaves to look more natural, glue to each strip one more, the color of which differs from the first (dark green and green, green and green, green and dark yellow, etc.). You can also make the leaves different in size. To do this, use cells of different diameters in the ruler for quilling.
  3. Now it's time to decide on the tree scheme in the quilling technique. The simplest option is to glue six leaves in pairs, and glue the seventh on top. You will have a Christmas tree. Decorate it with three small leaves on top and several rolls, glue the stump (square spiral module), and the hack is ready!
  4. If it is necessary to decorate the postcard, you can cut out the tree trunk from colored paper, glue it on the base, and then glue the leaves to the twigs.
  5. To make a three-dimensional tree, prepare 10-12 strips of brown paper. Stick them on a sheet of cardboard, having formed a trunk and branches, and then decorate with multi-colored teardrop-shaped leaves-modules.
  6. The trunk itself can also be made from modules (teardrop, round, square). For their production, use paper of different colors.
