Bio-fireplace with own hands

It's not for nothing that they say that you can look at the flame of fire endlessly ... Bizarrely changing, it attracts the eye, and with it seem to burn out and grief, bad thoughts and fears. And if the arrangement of a real fireplace in an ordinary apartment is something of a fantasy category, then the fireplace with the prefix "bio" in it is quite real. For arrangement of a desktop mini-fireplace it is necessary to prepare the following materials and tools:

• four glasses of rectangular shape;
• silicone for gluing together glasses;
• small decorative stones;
• metal box for the base of our fireplace;
• metal mesh;
• a bank that will play the role of a firebox;
• wick;
• fuel.

Let's get to work:

1. First of all, we must calculate all the dimensions of our design. They can be different, it all depends on how large a metal box for the fireplace can be found. The only thing that must be taken into account is that the distance from the burner to the side glass walls of our bio-fireplace should be about 15 cm.
2. Cut out the glass of the desired size and proceed to their gluing. For a fireplace it is not necessary to use special heat-resistant glass, it is quite possible to take a window glass. First, we glue the glasses with the letter P. In order to avoid distortion of the structure, we use stable improvised items that can reliably fix it.
3. Apply a thin layer of silicone to the place of gluing, immediately removing the excess.
4. When our design is securely glued, and it will happen in about 2-3 hours, turn it over.
5. Then carefully glue the fourth glass.
6. Install the glass protective screen on the base.
7. From the metal mesh with the help of scissors on metal we separate a piece of the necessary size.
8. We install a can of fuel in the center of our bio fireplace. Inside the banks we lower the thread-wick.
9. Cover the structure with pieces of metal mesh. It will not only serve as a basis for decorative elements decorating the bio fireplace, but also securely fix the can of fuel, pressing it with its weight.
10. Let's start decorating the bio fireplace. We lay out on a lattice a sea pebble or any other decorative elements, not afraid of fire.
11. We light the wick with a long match.
12. Enjoy the kind of fire.

Those who very much want to enjoy the sight of a living fire, but do not have a desire to do anything for a long time, the second way is how to make the bio-fireplace:

1. As a basis for bio-fireplace we will use an ordinary ceramic dish.
2. And the furnace for such a bio-fireplace will also be made by hand in just five minutes - its role will be played by an ordinary can.
3. We will fix the jar on the plate, secure it with the help of glue. Zadekoriruem design of sea stones or small gravel.
4. We pour a little fuel into the jar and set it on fire. Our bio-fireplace is ready!

What fuel can I use in the fireplace?

Since biofireplaces, like any other source of fire, can become dangerous in a certain situation, it is not necessary to aggravate this danger by using homemade mixtures as a fuel for them, most often a combination of alcohol and gasoline. But it is safer, albeit not cheaper, to buy special fuel in the store after all, because it certainly will not be harmful to health impurities.
