Inflammatory processes in the walls of the gallbladder are a dangerous pathology, which often leads to the need for complete removal of the organ. The difficulty in treating the disease is that it is difficult to detect early chronic cholecystitis - the symptoms develop gradually, for many months. The disease progresses steadily, and the periods of remission inevitably give way to relapses.
Symptoms of chronic acalculous cholecystitis
In the absence of concrements in the gallbladder, the inflammatory process does not develop so quickly, has a sluggish character. Therefore, specific symptoms are expressed only with exacerbation of chronic non-calculous cholecystitis.
The main symptom of the described disease is a pain syndrome. It differs depending on the tone (hypo-, hypertension) of the gallbladder.
Hypotonia of the musculature is accompanied, rather, not by pain, but by gravity in the area under the ribs to the right. Sensations are constant, aching, weak intensity.
If there is hypertonia, the pain syndrome is similar to a biliary colic. There are short-term, severe attacks, usually caused by a violation of diet or psycho-emotional overload.
Additional symptoms of chronic cholecystitis without concrements:
- bloating;
- itching;
- food allergies;
- bitterness in the mouth in the morning;
- constipation or diarrhea;
- belching with bitter aftertaste;
- sometimes vomiting with bile ;
- fever during relapses;
- decreased appetite;
- fatigue.
Symptoms of chronic calculous cholecystitis
The presence of stones in the gallbladder with simultaneous inflammation of its walls becomes the cause of more pronounced clinical manifestations. This is due to the fact that the stones are an obstacle to a normal outflow of bile and its entry into the intestine. As a result, it accumulates in the organ and stagnates.
In addition to pain, with chronic calculous cholecystitis, there are such symptoms:
- dysphagia;
- yellowing of the sclera and skin;
- frequent pulse (from 90 and higher beats per minute);
- dull pain in the heart;
- arthralgia;
- increased blood pressure;
- hyperhidrosis;
- muscle weakness;
- subfebrile body temperature;
- tremor of hands;
- irritability;
- insomnia;
- dyspeptic disorders;
- intolerance to some food, alcohol;
- vegetative-vascular dystonia;
- enlargement of the liver and gallbladder;
- soreness with palpation of the right hypochondrium.
