A popular alcoholic cocktail of Cuban origin under the effective name Daiquiri, according to one version, was invented by an American engineer who was once in Cuba. It is generally believed that the name of this cocktail is due to the famous beach near Santiago.
According to another version, the cocktail was created in one of the bars of Daikiri Beach and had originally a completely different name, which did not take root unlike the present one.
The classic composition of Daiquiri cocktail includes light rum, lime juice and sugar and is supplemented with crushed ice. But now there are a lot of variations of the drink. How to prepare some of them we will tell below in our recipes.
Classic Daiquiri cocktail recipe at home
Ingredients:
- white rum - 45 ml;
- freshly squeezed lime juice - 20 ml;
- granulated sugar - 5 g;
- ice - 100 g.
Preparation
To prepare Daikiri, mix white rum with lime juice, add sugar and mix. Then we pour the mixture into a shaker or blender, add the necessary amount of crushed ice and whisk together nicely. Pre-cool the martini glass, pour it ready Daiquiri, straining through a strainer.
Strawberry cocktail Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- white rum - 45 ml;
- freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice - 20 ml;
- frozen strawberries - 100 g;
- sugar - 10 g or to taste.
Preparation
In the blender container pour rum, add lemon juice, granulated sugar and frozen strawberries and punch all the good to the maximum possible homogeneity. We serve strawberry Daiquiri, as in the previous recipe in a chilled glass, after preliminary straining.
Banana cocktail Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- white rum - 45 ml;
- freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice - 20 ml;
- syrup from cane sugar - 5 ml;
- crushed ice - 100 g;
- banana - 1/2 pcs.
Preparation
White rum, lemon or lime juice, cane sugar syrup, put a half of the banana into the blender bowl, add crushed ice and break all the good until smooth. Serve in a chilled glass, decorated with a piece of banana.
How to make Daikiri cocktail with liqueur?
Ingredients:
- rum white - 55 ml;
- Liqueur Maraschino - 5 ml;
- freshly squeezed lime juice - 25 ml;
- syrup from cane sugar - 10 ml;
- crushed ice - 100 g;
- lime slice for decoration.
Preparation
We connect in a shaker or blender white rum, liqueur, lime juice, sugar syrup, chopped ice and mix everything well until the maximum uniformity. Serve in a pre-chilled glass, straining through a strainer, and decorate the lime slice.
Orange cocktail Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- rum white - 55 ml;
- freshly squeezed orange juice - 20 ml;
- freshly squeezed lime juice - 10 ml;
- triple sec (orange liqueur) - 10 ml;
- crushed ice - 100 g.
Preparation
We connect all the main ingredients for the Daiquiri cocktail from the list in the blender, break through well and pour into the cooled glass, having strained through a fine strainer from the admixture of large fragments of ice.
Peach cocktail Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- rum white - 55 ml;
- peach medium size - 0.5 pc .;
- freshly squeezed lime juice - 20 ml;
- sugar syrup from cane sugar - 10 ml;
- crushed ice - 100 g.
Preparation
Pour light rum, sugar syrup and lime juice into the blender. Peach washed, dried, divided into two halves and extract a stone. One half cut into small slices and also put into a blender. Add crushed ice, break all the good until the maximum uniformity and pour into the pre-cooled glass.
