The first stage involves mixing a simple test. The scheme is standard: in warm milk with a pinch of sugar dilute yeast, leave until foaming, and then add the solution to the flour along with the egg and melted butter. After kneading the dough, it is left for proofing before doubling in size, and in the meantime they take on the poppy filling. You can buy ready-made stuffing in almost any supermarket, and you can boil the poppy, fill it with water by about a centimeter and sweeten to taste. When the seeds swell, excess liquid is poured and the filling is cooled.

Now proceed to molding a roll with a poppy "Grandma's napkin". Roll out the dough that came up in a rectangle of half-centimeter thickness, grease its surface with vegetable oil and sprinkle the remaining sugar after mixing.

We distribute the poppy filling as evenly as possible.

Next, turn the dough into a roll and trim the edges on both sides. Surplus dough is not thrown away. The resulting roll is fastened into a ring and cut with scissors about 2/3 of the width, and the cut segments are laid out on both sides in turn.
