What can cool the summer better than ice cream? Is that mint ice cream, full of flavor and aroma of fresh mint leaves. Preferably, it is cooked at home, and you could control the composition and severity of the taste yourself. You can do this using the following recipes.

Mint ice cream at home - recipe

This ice cream is prepared according to the classical technology, which includes the use of a freezer and a special culinary thermometer. A little patience and time, and before you will be the perfect chilled dessert.

Before you make a mint ice cream, you need to fill the milk-cream mixture with mint flavor. Often the recipes offer a good stretch mint for this purpose, but in this case you will remain with a bunch of small pieces of leaves that are uncomfortable and unpleasant to eat. We propose to warm the milk base, put whole sprigs of mint into it, cover and let cool for about a couple of hours.

After a while, mint milk is filtered, reheated and poured sugar into it. As soon as the crystals dissolve, put a culinary thermometer into the pan and pour in the beaten yolks. On low heat and with regular stirring, allow the mixture to thicken and reach a temperature of 77-80 degrees. Pour the ice cream base into the ice cream maker and continue to follow the instructions.

Mint ice cream with chocolate chips - recipe without eggs

If you are not afraid to use mint extract and food coloring (the latter is not necessary), homemade ice cream can be made much easier, faster and without the use of special equipment.

Whip the cream until firm peaks using a mixer. Carefully mix the foamy mass with condensed milk, add mint extract. The amount of the latter is determined by your taste preferences and the characteristics of the product of a particular brand. If desired, you can also add a green food color, but this step can be ruled out. The last one is sent to the mixture chocolate crumb, after which the mass is re-mixed and the mint ice cream with chocolate is distributed in a freezer-free form.
