Holesovice


Holesovice is a former historical suburb of Prague , and now it is one of its districts. Most of it belongs to the area of ​​Prague-7, another "piece" - to the area of ​​Prague-1. A bit of history

The village of Holesovice is first mentioned in a document dating from 1228. Until 1850 Holesovice existed as an independent settlement; in 1850 it was combined with the neighboring village of Bubni. In the seventies of the XIX century, several industrial enterprises appeared there, which began to develop rapidly; Holesovice became an industrial suburb of the capital, and in 1884 the village was included in the city as Prague-7.
