Sew a skirt-bell - the first way

We need:

Getting Started

  1. From the fabric we will cut two rectangles 75 cm wide and the length equal to the length of the skirt. Also we'll cut out the belt - a rectangle 10 cm high and a width equal to the waist circumference. Do not forget to leave allowances for seams and for lapping.
  2. The clasp on our skirt will be on the side. Therefore, first we sew one side seam. Then we attach the skirt on the top to the size of the waist. In the second side seam stitch the zipper, sweep and iron out the side seams allowances.
  3. From the wrong side, we press the adhesive fleece to the belt and we sew the corsage tape to the waistband.
  4. Pritachivaem one edge of the belt to the upper cut of the skirt.
  5. We unbend the belt inside and iron it. Pritachivaem belt to the top of the skirt, we will insert on the sides special tape loops to store the skirt.
  6. We sew the bottom of the skirt manually with a hidden seam.
  7. We sew hooks on the belt.
  8. Our skirt-bell is ready for a simplified pattern!

Getting Started

Before the beginning of sewing, the woolen fabric should be stripped from the underside by means of an iron.

We begin the construction of the pattern of the skirt-bell. For this we need three measures: waist circumference (OT), hip circumference (OB), and skirt length (D). In the upper left corner of the paper, we put the point O, from which we will count all subsequent ones. Let's draw the first circle on paper with a radius equal to the waist semicircle minus 4 cm (R1 = 1 / 2OT-4). Next, draw the second circle, with a radius equal to the sum of the radius of the first circle plus the length of the skirt (R2 = R1 + D). The center of both circles is at the point O. On the circumference of R1 measure ½ FROM + 5 mm and set the point A1. We connect the points O and A1. The point A1 is connected with the beginning of the circle R1 and we divide this segment in half - we get the side seam of the skirt.

We cut out details of a skirt from the basic and lining fabric.

How to properly cut the skirt bell, shown in the picture.

Sewing the skirt starts with sewing the zipper. To do this, we sweep away the details of the back from the main fabric and the lining, folding them with the faces, and then with a zipper in a "frame" fashion.

Sewing zippers, we process the allowances of side seams with the help of an overlock.

We grind the side seams and press the allowances.

We take the lining to the skirt along the upper cut of the skirt and check the waist circumference.

We cut out a welt belt with a width of 11 cm and a length equal to the waist circumference + 6 cm. From the glutinous fleece we cut out a 4 cm wide piece and a length equal to the waist circumference + 3 cm.

We adhere the fleece to the main fabric and we spread it along the waist line.

Pritachivaem belt to the skirt.

We perform the bending seams on the lower cut of the skirt and lining.
