The choice of sour cream is a very important thing. After all, it is her taste and fat content that will affect similar parameters of cheese, and therefore ideally take not sour cream and be sure that the fat content in it is not below 20%. You can make mascarpone from homemade sour cream, but you can replace it with a purchase - it's not a principle. Once the main ingredient is selected, you can add spices: a pinch of salt, a little dried herbs, sugar, pepper, or leave untouched.

Lay the sour cream on top of the two-layered gauze stained with a double-leafed dumpling, gather the ends of the gauze and cover them with sour cream.
