Why do intermenstrual bleeding occur?
Normally, a process such as ovulation is observed in the middle of the cycle. But sometimes, with the still unsettled schedule in girls or with irregular menstruation in women, the timing of the release of the egg from the follicle changes. So, a sharp increase or decrease in the level of the hormone estrogen during the ovulation period can provoke a uterine bleeding between the menstruation, before them and even after them, and this is not a deviation from the norm. This phenomenon is observed in 30% of women.
What are the reasons for the appearance of menstruation in the middle of the cycle?
Sometimes women complain to the doctor that the menstruation started in the middle of the cycle. Most often, this occurs on the 10-16th day after the end of the last menstrual period. At the same time the allocations are uninhabitable, and the time lasts no more than 72 hours.
The factors that may be the reason for the fact that in the middle of the cycle a woman has had a period of many months. Usually among them are:
- pathological diseases of the endocrine system (diseases of the thyroid gland and adrenal glands);
- uterine myoma;
- a change in the hormonal background;
- miscarriage in the past;
- use of intrauterine contraceptives ( spiral );
- carrying out gynecological procedures (moxibustion or cervical biopsy);
- taking hormonal drugs and oral contraceptives;
- trauma to the vagina and vaginal infections;
- frequent stressful conditions;
- infectious diseases;
- disruption of the blood coagulation system;
- pathology of internal reproductive organs (uterine flexure);
- tumors and cysts of the ovaries.
