Cabbage salad is an off-season snack that is cooked in a matter of minutes and can be served both independently and in a variety of dishes like home burgers, shawarma and hot dogs. Despite the relatively simple and budgetary composition, this salad can easily be varied with the help of various dressings and available ingredients.
Cabbage salad with carrots - recipe
The taste of this salad is filled with traditional Asian notes due to the addition of ginger, cilantro and sesame oil in the filling. The best company hot meat dishes from pork or poultry and you will not think up.
Ingredients:
- cabbage - 1/2 head;
- red cabbage - 1/4 head;
- carrots - 2 pieces;
- green onions - 5-6 feathers;
- handful of green coriander;
- ginger root - 2.5 cm;
- sesame oil - 15 ml;
- wine vinegar - 65 ml;
- apple cider vinegar - 25 ml.
Preparation
Begin by preparing a salad dressing consisting of two kinds of cabbage. Finely chop both cabbages, add to them grated carrots and chopped green onions. Put in the greens of cilantro and take a refuel. For filling, whisk both kinds of vinegar with sesame oil and grated ginger. Season the salad with the mixture and do not forget about salt.
Cabbage salad with cucumber
There is nothing more simple and familiar to everyone than a usual cabbage salad with cucumber, dressed with sour cream. We decided to slightly diversify the traditional recipe, replacing the sour cream with a less fatty yoghurt and supplementing the dressing with honey and ginger.
Ingredients:
For salad:
- white cabbage - 260 g;
- carrots - 85 g;
- fresh cucumber - 115 g;
- a handful of green onions.
For refueling:
- Greek yogurt - 165 g;
- apple cider vinegar - 35 ml;
- honey - 10 ml;
- apple juice - 25 ml.
Preparation
Finely chop cabbage leaves and combine them with grated carrots and thin slices of cucumber. Mix everything with chopped onion greens.
For filling it is enough to whip all the prepared components together and combine everything with the salad mixture.
Cabbage salad with sour cream
Traditional sour cream dressing is not surprising, but if you add it with a small amount of avocado, lime juice and hot pepper, you get an original variation of the salad in the Mexican manner.
Ingredients:
- red cabbage - 1 head;
- avocados - 1 piece;
- a pod of pepper (or to taste);
- lime juice - 35 ml;
- sour cream - 55 g;
- Dijon mustard - 4 g.
Preparation
Separating the avocado pulp from the stone and removing the skin from the fruit, rub it together with lime juice and a little salt. Mix the avocado cream with hot pepper, sour cream and Dijon mustard, then season with a simple sauce thinly chopped cabbage. Serve the salad immediately, both as a separate snack, and in addition to hot main dishes.
Cabbage salad with vinegar
The main components of the dish in this case - vegetables, the composition of the same filling is quite minimal.
Ingredients:
For salad:
- white cabbage - 1/2 pcs .;
- green apple - 1 piece;
- radish - 7 pieces;
- salad onion - 1/2 pcs.
For refueling:
- sugar - 15 g;
- apple cider vinegar - 65 ml;
- water - 25 ml;
- celery seeds - 1 1/2 tsp.
Preparation
Finely chop the cabbage. Divide the salad bow into as thin as possible semi-rings. Also thinly slice the apple and radish. Combine the components of the vitamin cabbage salad together and season with vinegar, whipped with water, sugar and ground celery seeds.
