Roseola Symptoms

Various childhood infections often affect adults, especially in the absence of immunity to such diseases. One of these pathologies is roseola - the symptoms are very similar to rubella infection or an allergic reaction, so it's difficult to establish an accurate diagnosis right away.

Pink roseola in adults

This phenomenon is rather rare and occurs only in severe autoimmune lesions. The fact is that the causative agent of the disease is herpes viruses of the 6th and 7th groups. In people of adulthood, they usually cause chronic fatigue syndrome , and not the appearance of spots on the body.

If the diagnosis is still confirmed, then in adults the symptoms of roseola are the following:

Within a few days the temperature is normalized, and the rash disappears on its own.

Symptoms of syphilitic roseola

The disease, provoked by the venereal infection in question, occurs in adults quite often, especially with the appropriate lifestyle and promiscuous sexual intercourse.

In this case syphilitic roseola has three stages of clinical manifestations:

  1. At the first stage chancres occur on some parts of the body - small ulcerous lesions with a solid center at the base. They appear in areas where the virus has entered the body, usually the genitals, around the rectum or oral cavity.
  2. The second stage is characterized by a partial subsidence of the symptoms, since chancres gradually disappear on their own (after 20-50 days). After 55-60 days, there are signs of roseola - pale pink, small patches on the limbs and trunk. The rash has a chaotic localization, is not prone to fusion of elements, rapidly progresses (10-15 spots appear every 24 hours for 9-10 days).
  3. The third stage of syphilitic roseola is accompanied by darkening of new growths, they acquire a brown or yellow-brown color. The spots are covered with a hard crust, which eventually begins to crumble and depart. Inside, there is an ulcerated skin surface, often with elements of purulent discharge and obvious signs of necrosis (withering) of soft tissues.
