Sweet dried fruit soup

Using a variety of dried fruits, currently offered by retail chains in a wide range, you can prepare a delicious vitamin sweet soup from dried fruits. This unusual soup is interesting both as a dessert and as a separate dish, and certainly, this dish will appeal to children. We choose dried fruits carefully, "correct" (that is, not processed by useless chemicals) that do not shine and look rather unattractive.

Since we are not preparing a compote , but soup, we will need some ingredients other than dried fruits and water.

Sweet rice soup from a mixture of dried fruits

Rinse the rice and boil in a sufficient amount of water for 9-16 minutes (depends on the type of rice). Surplus water with salt, if you want, you can also wash rice with boiled water.

Prunes steam with boiling water in a separate container. When it swells, we merge the water and remove the bones, you can cut each sink into 2 parts.

The remaining dried fruits will also be filled with boiling water and after 8-15 minutes we will drain the water. This is done to remove the unavoidable chemical additives used (possibly) on dried fruits used by unscrupulous producers and trade structures to improve the appearance and increase the shelf life of dried fruits. Dried apricots, too, can be cut into pieces, but not too finely.

Prunes, barberry and other washed dried fruits are placed in a pan (or better - in a ceramic container) and poured with boiling water in an amount of 0,7-1 liters and close the lid. You can cook in a thermos. Let the soup infuse for at least 4 hours. If we start boiling, we will inevitably lose vitamins. If you do not want to wait - protil the soup in a water bath for 20-40 minutes. Add the cooked rice, season the soup with saffron and vanilla. If you want sweeter - add a couple of spoons of natural honey. We serve warm or cold with fresh crackers.

To such a soup, you can separately serve natural milk cream.

You can, in some way, modify the recipe and make a sweet soup of dried fruits with milk. In this version, everything is prepared in the same way as in the previous recipe (see above), only after washing the dried fruits with hot water, pour them with hot milk and insist. Of course, for the preparation of such dishes you can use not only the dried fruits listed in the recipe, but also others.
