Why does not pepper grow?

Competent approach to growing seedlings allows you to get a plentiful and high-quality harvest. Salad peppers on our gardens often, but not every summer resident can boast of really good results of his work. We propose to consider why the Bulgarian pepper does not grow and the result of such mistakes can be such a result.

Do not grow peppers - what to do?

Consider step by step, what difficulties in growing the crop you are likely to encounter and how to act if the pepper does not grow.

  1. First of all, the problems of growth can affect the seedling itself. If the shoots are unfriendly and obviously weak, most likely the seeds are substandard. Always check their germination. Also quite fresh planting material may turn out to be weak and weak, then it is natural for a wave that, with all your efforts, the pepper does not grow. Seedlings for a very long time will be pecked or do not arise at all without pre-germination, as the seeds themselves very tightly pecked. Another reason why pepper does not grow, can hide in the wrong temperature regime. If the sprouts were puffed up, but were in very hot conditions, they could just dry up.
  2. Sometimes it happens that the buds themselves are not put in time and like a lush green, but there is no color and as a result there is no ovary. Here the reason may be incorrectly chosen planting dates, namely, too early planting in the open ground. Paradoxically, but just before the planting, a much later crop is promoted.
  3. Sometimes summer residents are faced with the fact that the pepper does not grow, they are looking for what to feed it. But in fact, even overfeeding can cause slow growth and lack of ovaries. In particular, this concerns too much nitrogen fertilizer and, on the contrary, a lack of potassium and phosphorus.
  4. What if the peppers do not grow and all the seedlings are very sluggish? This is clearly a problem in the soil. The soil must be sufficiently loose and nutritious. For seedlings it is better to buy ready-mixed soils. Also, the cause of this condition of the seedlings can be a wrong landing: you have too much seeded the seedlings, and this significantly stops the growth.
  5. One of the most common reasons why pepper does not grow is the wrong fertilizer regime. Top dressing was either too lean, or, on the contrary, single with excess dosage. To avoid such problems, apply the fertilizer twice: the first time after the appearance of the second real leaf and the second just before landing in the open ground.
