The recipe for cranberry jam

For the preparation of jam from cowberry it is necessary: ​​1 kilogram of cowberry, 2 glasses of sugar, 100 ml of water.

Cowberry washed thoroughly and sorted. To remove the bitterness from the berries, they must be lowered into hot water for 5 minutes, then dried.

From sugar and water, you should cook syrup, add cranberries to it and bring to a boil. Boil the jam from the cranberries should be 20-30 minutes. At the end of cooking, you can add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and a few buds of cloves. Hot jam should be poured over clean and dry jars and rolled up.

Not only jam from cowberry, but any other jam from fresh berries has medicinal properties. Together with hot tea, berry jam removes heat, eliminates cough and runny nose.
